It is becoming increasingly common for employers to require criminal background checks from potential candidates. While usually they require checks based on fingerprints, which are more conclusive and reliable, some will still accept background checks based on name and date of birth. Notary Lawyer Mississauga offers Criminal Name Index Checks (CNIC) for those that need them.
Note: Background checks are based on name and date of birth and are not necessarily conclusive. For a more thorough criminal background check, you may wish to utilize our fingerprinting services.
If you require a vulnerable sector check, (i.e. you will be working with children or the elderly, etc.) please note that you MUST start your application at your local Police Services office. Private fingerprinting firms are NOT authorized to initiate the vulnerable sector check process.
An Applicant must provide two (2) pieces of valid (non-expired) government issued identification, one of which must include the Applicant’s name, date of birth, signature and photo.
